2928: Ancestor Statue. Ironwood. H: 45.5”. 18th to 19th century (or earlier). Ibanic Dayak (possibly Kontu/Kantuk), Melawi River basin, West Kalimantan, Borneo Island, Indonesia. Beautifully eroded sculpture with twisting torso and long simian like arms. Photos were taken before steel plate base was added. Additional detailed images available on request.
