NiasStone: Stone Head from Ceremonial Seat (“Osa-Osa”). Well carved and detailed mythical animal head with dragon mouth/fangs, hornbill cask, horns, beard, earring, and necklace. Due to years of erosion, some of the right side of the head has worn away. H: 18”, length of mouth from back of head: 14”. 19th century. Nias Island, Indonesia.
