A heavy wood sculpture in the form a male/female “Janus” figure, with geometric motifs below their waists.
An unusual figure similar to the classic ancestral figures “Aitos”, but this sculpture was not left outside at an altar.
The heavy, hard wood, the shape of the sculpture and the worn bottom suggests this may have been used as a rice grain pounder.
