The Churinga is an object of wood or stone that is considered sacred by various aboriginal tribes of Central Australia
and is often elliptical in shape with incised designs. They are representations or manifestations of living, ancestral or
mythic beings and are connected in Australian Aboriginal cosmology to the eternal Dreamtime.
