Glass seed beads, trade beads, shells, teeth, rattan, wood. H: 11.5" (29.2 cm), W: 13" (33 cm), D: 7” (17.8 cm).

Baby carrier (Ba) with beaded panel, depicting two protective dragon figures (in orange beads)
with two abstract dragon figures at the bottom of the panel (in black beads). There are additional
decorations of trade beads, disc shells, and animal teeth.

The beaded panel on the back of these baby carriers are talismanic amulets with protective motifs
meant to ward off malevolent spirits and to show the status and wealth of the family.
